Key Activities
1. Advocacy & Promotion of Tainui Waka Māori Performing Arts at the Regional, National & International level;
2. Facilitation of Arts Development Workshops and training seminars for Tainui Waka Māori Performing Arts groups;
3. Planning and staging of the biennial Tainui Waka Kapa Haka Festival;
4. Funding & Sponsorship support for Tainui Waka Māori Performing Arts and associated Māori art forms;
5. Strategic Planning & Coordination of the development of Māori Performing Arts throughout the Tainui Waka region;
6. Support and promotion of Māori Performing Arts at key Community Events;
7. Provision of support and advice to Tainui Waka Māori Performing Arts groups representing the Tainui Waka region at National Competitions;
8. Provision of capacity building workshops and advice to Māori Performing Arts groups and associated stakeholders;
9. Representation of Tainui Waka Māori Performing Arts at the national level (e.g. Te Matatini)
10. Facilitation and support of Māori Performing Art projects in support of TWCT aims and objectives
