Core Values

The following values underpin and inform the goals, objectives, strategies, internal processes and practices of the TWCT:

  1. Excellence & Innovation - we aim to strive for the best that can be achieved in Māori Performing Arts and will support activities that promote excellence and innovation
  2. Participation - we will support initiatives that encourage both participation and experience of Māori Performing Arts and Culture throughout the region
  3. Accountability - we will be fully accountable for all our activities and to all our internal and external stakeholders and we will operate a professional organisation in support of our charitable aims
  4. Integrity - our activities will support the integrity of Māori Performing Arts representation and presentation
  5. Enhancement of Te Reo & Tikanga Māori - our activities will protect, enhance and promote Māori language, culture and heritage
  6. Advocacy - our activities will promote Māori arts and artists and will raise awareness and recognition of the role and value of Māori Performing Arts locally, regionally and internationally
